A jury awards this price to the most innovative boat among the competitors.

For the race, the boat has to comply with the R3 class rules of the 1001 vela cup.

Sustainability
Boats need to comply with the material requirements of the R3 Class Rules. The boats are required to contain a certain amount of mass from the following materials.
